The Chevrolet Chevelle is a mid-size automobile, produced in three generations in 1964-1978. It was one of Chevrolet’s most successful models. It was produced as a coupe, convertible, sedan and estate, most as a 2-door variant. The car was also available in a Super Sport version, which was produced from 1973. In 1964, the El Camino was introduced as part of the Chevelle line.

The Chevrolet Chevelle (2nd Generation) was produced in the years 1968-1972. It was sold with a wide range of engines depending on model, from a 3.8-liter I6 with 140 hp (100 kW) to a 7.4-liter V8 with 365 hp (268 kW) (depending on the modification). The engines were mated to a 3/4-speed manual or 2/3-speed automatic transmission.
