The MG MGC is a sports car produced between 1967 and 1969 as a 6-cylinder version of the 1962-1980 MGB. It was originally intended as a replacement for the Austin-Healey 3000 Mk III, but in this form it never made it past the design stage. It was sold as a 2-door roadster and coupe with rear-wheel drive and the engine located up front.
The car’s body has been modified only minimally compared to its predecessor. The MGC was powered by a 2.9-litre I6 engine with 145 hp (108 kW), mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. This combination allowed it to reach a speed of 193 km/h (193 mph).
