The Deutsch-Bonnet HBR5 is a sports car produced between 1954 and 1959 as the company’s most successful project. The prototype was presented to the public at the Paris Motor Show in1953 andthe final version in1954 as the “DB Coach” also in Paris. Only a few hundred examples were produced in total.

The car had a fiberglass body and was powered by a flat 2-cylinder engine. It had a displacement of 0.85-litres and produced 50 hp (37 kW). The first models, and especially the show versions, often had a luxurious equipment with lots of chrome and two-tone paintwork.
