The Mercedes-Benz 190 SL (W121) is a luxury grand tourer produced in West Germany (Stuttgart) between 1955 and 1963. It was sold as a 2-door roadster withrear-wheel drive andfront-mounted engine. It was first introduced to the public as a prototype at the 1954 New York Auto Show.

The 190 SL represented an attractive and more affordable alternative to the exclusive 300 SL, sharing its basic styling, construction, detailing and fully independent wheel suspension. The car was powered by a water-cooled, 1.9-litre I4 engine with104 hp (77 kW), mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. In total, more than 25,000 examples were produced.
