The Ford Taunus P3 is a medium-sized family car produced in Germany (Cologne-Niehl) between 1960 and 1964 as a successor to the P2. It was sold as a 2-/4-door sedan, 3-door station wagon and 2-door convertible with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. It was the third newly designed German Ford to be launched after the war. It was named after the Taunus mountain range in Germany.

The car was available with three water-cooled I4 engines during its production years: a 1.5-litre; a 1.7-litre and a 1.75-litre. These were mated to a 3/4-speed manual transmission or a 3-speed saxomat. Their power ranged from 54 hp (40 kW) to 74 hp (55 kW). In total, more than 660,000 examples were produced.
