Morgan Plus 4 First Series - Classic Cars Kingdom

The Morgan Plus 4 is a sports car produced in England (Malvern) between 1950 and 1969. Its production was later resumed in 1985 and ended in 2000, serving as a filler between the 4/4 and Plus 8. In 2005 its production was resumed again and ended in 2020 when it was replaced by the “all-new” Plus Four. It was sold as a 2-door convertible with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine.

The first series was introduced at the 1950 Earl’s Court Motor Show with a 2-litre I4 engine producing 68 hp (51 kW) and drum brakes. In 1953, a more powerful 2-litre engine with 90 hp (67 kW) was launched. From 1956, the car was powered by a 100 hp (75 kW) engine. And in 1962, the capacity was increased to 2.1-litres. In total, just over 500 examples of the first series were produced.
