The Jaguar Mark II is a mid-size luxury sports car manufactured in England (Coventry) between 1959 and 1967. It was sold as a 4-door saloon with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. As a fast and capable car, it was in keeping with Sir Lyson’s advertising slogan: Grace… Space…Pace.
The car was available with three versions of the I6 engine, a 2.5-litre, a 3.4-litre and a 3.8-litre, with outputs ranging from 120 hp (89 kW) to 220 hp (164 kW). The 3.8-litre version allowed the car to accelerate from 0 to 97 km/h (62 mph) in 8.5 mph (8.5 km/h) and to reach a top speed of 200 km/h (200 mph). In total, just under 85,000 examples were produced, with no direct successor model.
