The Fiat 850 is a small car produced between 1964 and 1971. It was sold as a 2-door saloon, coupe, roadster, 4-door mini van and 3-door van with rear-wheel drive and rear-mounted engine. It was originally intended to replace the 600, but this did not happen as the 600 remained in production longer than the 850.
The car was powered by a 0.8-litre I4 based on the engine from the 600, mated to a 4-speed manual or semi-aic gearbox. The engine came in two versions: standard with 34 hp (25 kW) and super with 37 hp (27 kW). This allowed it to reach speeds of around 125 km/h (125 mph).
