The Austin-Healey 3000 is a sports car produced in England between 1959 and 1967 in four generations. It was sold as a 2-door roadster with two or four seats and later as a convertible with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. It is best known among the so-called “big Healey” models. It was replaced by the MGC.
The third generation of the 3000 was announced in February 1964. The car was powered by a 3-litre I6 engine producing 150 hp (111 kW). Compared to the previous generation, where power assisted braking was an option, it came as standard equipment on the car. In total, more than 17,000 examples were produced.
