The Jaguar XJ-S is a luxury grand tourer produced in England between 1975 and 1996. It was sold as a coupe and convertible with rear-wheel drive and the engine located in the front. 3 different iterations were produced with a total of over 115,000 examples produced. It was developed on the platform of the then XJ sedan and known for its rear struts. The last version of the model was produced between 1991 and 1996, following Ford’s acquisition of Jaguar, which introduced a number of modifications and removed the hyphen in the name (XJS).

The second series of the XJS was produced between 1981 and 1991. It was equipped with a new 295 hp (220 kW) V12 engine, or 263 hp (196 kW) in North America, mated to a 3 or 4-speed aic transmission. The car also underwent exterior and interior changes.
