At first glance, it looks like an elegant coupe of the W124 generation. This particular example, however, is something much more special – it is a rare 6.0 AMG Hammer, one of the most legendary projects from the days when AMG was still operating as an independent tuning company.
The Hammer models helped AMG build a reputation around the world and showed that luxury Mercedes could compete with the super sports of the day. Under the hood was a 6.0-liter, 32-valve AMG V8 with 385 horsepower, making this coupe one of the fastest four-seater cars of its time.
This particular piece, known as the Galdi Coupé, is one of the rarest AMG models ever. It is one of only three examples of the 6.0 AMG Hammer Coupé built by AMG North America, and the only one to feature the distinctive ducktail rear spoiler.
At first glance, it catches the eye:
- aggressive AMG bodykit
- iconic AMG wheels
- by widespread attitude
- an unobtrusive appearance that hides the performance of a supersport
Over the past few years, the car has undergone extensive servicing and restoration, while retaining its rarity and collector value.
Estimated price: 650 000 – 750 000 €
Today, the Mercedes-Benz 300 CE AMG Hammer is one of the most desirable models from the AMG pre-merger era and represents a period when some of the craziest and most charismatic Mercedes cars of all time were created.
