The Continental (Ford) Mark II is an ultra-luxury automobile produced in the US between 1956 and 1957 as a successor to the 1939-1948 Continental. It was sold as a 2-door hardtop withrear-wheel drive andengine located in the front. It is the company’s first and only product line to be developed as the worldwide flagship of the Ford Motor Company.

As the most expensive American car of its time, the Mark II sold at a similar level to the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud and Bentley Continental. The Mark II was largely hand-assembled. It was powered by a 6.0-litre V8 engine with 285-300 hp (212-223 kW) mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission.
