The MG SA (MG 2-litre) is a sports car produced between 1936 and 1939. It was sold as a 4-door saloon, a 4-seater tourer and a drophead coupe with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. It was originally intended as an advanced performance saloon to compete with cars such as SS Cars (Jaguar) and Bentley. The prototype was created after MG merged with Morris Motors in 1935.
The car was powered by a 2.2-litre and later a 2.3-litre I6 engine, mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox with synchromesh on the top two gears. In total, just over 2,700 examples were produced.
