The MG T-Type is a series of sports cars produced in England (Abingdon) between 1936 and 1955 as a replacement for the PB. They were sold in a 2-seater roadster version with a body-on-frame, front-mounted engine and rear-wheel drive. This series, also known as the Midget, included the TA, TB, TC, TD and TF models. As for the design, it was in the 30s. 20 years. century modern, but became obsolete over time and in 1955 the series was replaced by the MGA model.

The MG TF was launched in October 1953 and was in production until 1955. The headlights were recessed into the wings and it was fitted with a new pressurised cooling system. It was powered by a 1.25-litre I4 engine producing 57.5 hp (42 kW). In mid-1954, the engine capacity was increased to 1.5-litres, resulting in a power output of 63 hp (47 kW). This version was designated TF1500 and was distinguished externally by an enamel plate on either side of the bonnet. In total, more than 9,500 examples of the TF were produced, including the TF1500.
