The Bentley Turbo R is a high-performance car produced in England between 1985 and 1997. It was sold as a 4-door saloon with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. It was initially powered by the turbocharged engine from the Mulsanne Turbo and from 1987 was powered by a modified version.
Compared to its predecessor, it had significantly better handling. The car was powered by a 296 hp (221 kW) 6.75-litre V8 engine, mated to a 3-speed or 4-speed aic transmission. In 1986, it received anti-lock brakes and new injection. In mid-1988, the car underwent appearance modifications. In total, more than 7 thousand examples were produced and replaced by the Arnage.
