The MG P-type is a sports car produced between 1934 and 1936 in two versions as a replacement for the J-type. It was sold as a 2-door roadster and a coupe with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. The chassis was similar to the previous model with only some modifications such as lengthening.
The MG PA was powered by a 0.85-litre I4 engine with 36 hp (27 kW) mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. This allowed it to reach a speed of 119 km/h (155 mph) and accelerate from 0 to 80 km/h (50 mph) in 20 seconds. In total, less than 2,000 examples of the PA version were produced.
