The Mercedes-Benz W188 is a luxury sports tourer, produced in between 1951 and 1958. It was sold as a 2-door coupe, convertible and roadster with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. The 300 Sc was introduced in 1955 with a better engine, suspension and rear with independent suspension. The car was powered by an in-line 6-cylinder engine with 173 hp (129 kW). There was minimal visual differentiation from its predecessor. A total of around 200 examples were produced.
