The Singer 9 was produced by Singer Motors Limited between 1933 and 1937 and again between 1939 and 1049, when it was only available as a roadster. It was sold as a 2/4-door saloon and tourer and as a 2-door sports car with rear-wheel drive and the engine located at the front. Several examples were also produced in van style.

It was touted as a new economy model and served as a replacement for the previous Singer Junior series. The car was powered by a 0.85-litre I4 engine, based on the 0.85-litre version from the Junior. The engine was rated at 26.5 hp (20 kW) and was mated to a 4-speed manual transmission.
