The Maserati Bora is a sports car produced in Italy in between 1971 and 1978. It was sold as a 2-door coupe with rear-wheel drive and the engine located in the rear center. It is named after the wind, like other Maserati cars of the time, with the Bora being the wind from Trieste. It was also Maserati’s first road car with a engine in the middle, and ended the company’s reputation for making fast but technologically outdated cars.

Only 564 examples were produced in total, as it was the second most expensive car of the 1970s after the Lamborghini Countach. It was powered by a 4.7 or 4.9 litre V8 engine with 306 hp (228 kW) or 325 hp (243 kW). The engines were mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
