The Cadillac Series 40-62 is a series of cars produced in the years 1940-1964 that were originally designed to complement the entry-level Series 61. The car was rear axle driven with the engine located in the front. The Series 62 was used to introduce the Coupe de Ville and Eldorado models, which started out as appearance trim packages, but were later produced as stand-alone models.

The fifth generation of the Series 62 was produced in 1957-1958. The cars were available as a 2-door convertible or a 2/4-door hardtop. They were powered by a 6.0-litre V8 petrol engine producing 310 hp (228 kW), mated to a 4-speed aic transmission.
