The Aston Martin DB2 is a sporty grand tourer produced in the years 1950 – 1953. It was sold as a 2-door convertible and coupe with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. It was introduced to the public in April 1950 at the New York Auto Show, and 411 examples were produced in its three years of production.
The car was powered by Lagonda’s 2.6-liter I6 engine with 105 horsepower (78 kW) in the base and 125 horsepower (93 kW) in the o Vantage version. This allowed it to reach a speed of 187 km/h (187 mph) and accelerate from 0 to 97 km/h (97 mph) in 11.2 s. The car’s average fuel consumption was 14 l/100 km (14 US mpg).
