The MGC is a sports car produced in from 1967 to 1969 as a 6-cylinder version of the MGB. It was sold as a 2-door roadster and coupe with rear-wheel drive and the engine located up front. It was intended as a replacement for the Austin-Healey 3000 Mk III, but in this form it never made it past the design proposal stage.
The car’s bodywork was only minimally modified externally compared to the MGB, the only significant difference being the bulging of the bonnet to accommodate the radiator. Other changes were made around the engine bay and floor. These were not visible from outside though. The car was powered by a 3-liter I6 engine with 145 hp (108 kW), mated to a 3-speed aic transmission. This allowed it to reach a speed of 193 km/h (193 mph) and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in about 10 seconds.
