The Ferrari 250 was a series of sports cars produced in between 1952 and 1964. The cars had rear-wheel drive and engine located in the front. The cars were powered by a 3-litre V12 engine mated to a 4/5-speed manual gearbox.
The Ferrari 250 GT/E was produced in from 1959 to 1963 as the first large production 4-seater Ferrari. The interior space of the car was larger than in previous versions, which was achieved by moving the engine forward. The back seats were small for adults but were easily suitable for small children. The 250 GT/E was powered by an engine with 237 hp (240 kW). In total, almost 1000 examples were produced.
The car was replaced by the visually similar Ferrari 330 America, which shared the chassis of the 250 GT/E but used a larger 4-litre engine. The GT/E series was in the early 60s. years a major contribution to Ferrari’s financial stability.
