The Aston Martin DB5 is a British grand tourer produced in between 1963 and 1965. It replaced the previous DB4 version. The “DB” designation comes from the initials of David Brown, who built the company from 1947. DB5 is best known for his role in the James Bond films. The car came standard with reclining seats, wool carpets, electric windows, an oil cooler and full leather upholstery in the cabin.

The car was sold as a 2-door 4-seater coupe and a 2-door convertible. It had rear-wheel drive and engine located in the front. It was powered by a 4-litre I6 engine with 282-325 hp (210-242 kW), which was mated to a 5-speed manual or an optional 3-speed aic transmission. The version with the 210 kW engine could reach a speed of 233 km/h. A total of 1059 examples were produced.
