The Maserati Mistral was a 2-seater grand tourismo produced between 1963 and 1970. It replaced the 3500 GT and was available in coupe and spyder versions. A total of 953 units were produced. It was rear-wheel drive with the engine mounted at the front.
The car was available with a 3.5-/3.7-/4-liter I6 engine with 235 (175 kW)/183 (183 kW)/265 (198 kW) horsepower and a 5-speed manual transmission. It was named after the cold north wind in southern France. It was produced with aluminium and, after 1967, steel bodywork. It could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 7 seconds and reach a speed of 230 km/h.
