The Vauxhall Cresta is a British car produced between 1954 and 1972. It was introduced as a more luxurious version of the Vauxhall Velox. The car was available in 5 versions: the E (1954-1957), PA (1957-1962), PB (1962-1965), PC (1965-1972) and Viscount (1966-1972).
The Vauxhall Cresta PA was introduced in October 1957. It was sold as a 4-door sedan and 5-door station wagon. It was fitted with leather and nylon upholstery and woven carpet. A heater was fitted as standard in the car. Available equipment options included fog lights, reversing lights and exterior rear-view mirrors. The Vauxhall Cresta was available with 2.3-litre and 2.65-litre I6 engines, which were mated to a 3-speed manual gearbox. The version with the larger engine was able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in around 16 seconds and to a speed of 152 km/h. The average consumption of the car was 11 l/100km. A total of 81841 examples were produced.
