The Oldsmobile 4-4-2 is a so-called “muscle” car produced in the years 1964-1987. It was introduced as an option package for the F-85 and Cutlass models. In 1968-1971 it was a stand-alone model and then reverted to an optional model. The name “4-4-2” comes from the four-barrel carburetor, four-speed manual transmission and dual exhausts of the original car.

The Oldsmobile 4-4-2 (2nd Generation) was produced at from 1968-1972. In 1968, more than 33,000 units were sold. The car was powered by a 7.5-litre V8 engine with 350 hp (261 kW), which was mated to a 3/4-speed manual or 3-speed automatic transmission and could reach speeds of 185 km/h (185 mph).
