The Lamborghini Espada was a large 4-seater touring coupe produced from 1968-1978. It was originally sold alongside the mid-engined Islero and Miura models. Both the Espada and Islero replaced the 400 GT 2+2 and had similar mechanical underpinnings, with the Espada being a visually bolder alternative to the conservative and discreet Islero. During the ten years of production, the car underwent several changes and three different series were produced. A total of 1,227 units were produced, making the Espada Lamborghini’s most numerous model until production of the Countach was expanded.

The Lamborghini Espada S3 was produced from 1972-1978. It was powered by a 350 hp (261 kW) 3.9-litre engine mated to a 5-speed manual or 3-speed automatic transmission.
