The Jaguar XJ is a series of mid-size luxury cars produced in the years 1968 – 2019. The cars were produced in four basic generations with various modified versions, and have been Jaguar’s flagship 4-door models since 1970.
The Jagaur XJ Series I was produced from 1968 to 1973 as a 4-door sedan. It was powered by a 2.8-litre and a 4.2-litre I6 or a 5.3-litre V12 (from 1972) , which were mated to a 3-speed aic or 4-speed manual transmission, depending on the motorisation. In total, nearly 100,000 examples of the Series I were produced.
