The AC Cobra (also called the Shelby Cobra) is a sports car produced by the British company AC Cars in between 1962 and 1967. It was sold as a 2-door roadster and rear-wheel drive and front-mounted engine. Replaced the AC Ace model. In total, only 998 examples were produced.
The AC Cobra 427 was produced in 1965-1967 with a newly developed chassis, designated the Mark III. It was powered by Ford’s 7-litre V8 engine with 425 hp (317 kW) at base and could reach speeds of 264 km/h (264 mph). The modified version had a power output of 485 hp (362 kW) and could reach a speed of 298 km/h (298 mph).
