The Opel GT is a 2-seater sports car produced in two generations in 1968-1973 and 2007-2009. It was sold as a 2-door coupe with rear-wheel drive and engine located in the front. The first generation was unveiled in 1965 at the Paris and Frankfurt motor shows. It used mechanical components from the Opel Kadett B.
The car was powered by a 1.1-liter I4 engine with 67 hp (50 kW) at base, but most buyers chose the optional, 1.9-liter version of the I4 engine with 102 hp (76 kW). The engines were mated to a 4-speed manual or 3-speed automatic transmission. The top speed of the GT was 182 km/h.
