The Maserati Mexico is a 4-seater 2-door grand touring coupe produced in Italy in 1966 – 1972. It was based on the second series of the original Maserati Quattroporte and was powered by the same front-mounted V8 engines. Its international premiere took place at the Paris Motor Show in Paris in August 1966.
The car was available with a smaller 4.2- or the original 4.7-liter V8 engine, which was mated to a 5-speed manual or 3-speed automatic transmission. The 4.7-litre version had a power output of 290 hp (216 kW) and could reach a top speed of around 245 km/h (245 mph). The Maserati Mexico had leather seats, power windows, a wood dashboard and air conditioning as standard equipment. Power steering and radio were available as options. In total, only 485 examples were produced.
