The Triumph TR 5 is a sports car produced in England in the years 1967 – 1969. It was very similar in appearance to the TR 4 roadster. Standard equipment included front disc brakes and independent rear-wheel suspension.
The car was powered by a 2.5-litre I6 engine with mechanical injection and 150 hp (110 kW). It had rear-wheel drive and a engine located in the front to which a 4-speed manual gearbox was connected. It was able to accelerate from 0 to 80 km/h in 6.5 s and to reach a speed of 200 km/h. Stricter emission standards in the US led to a much less powerful version of the TR 250 being sold in the North American market. In total, only 2 947 examples of the TR 5 were produced.
