The Cadillac Series 40-62 is a series of rear-wheel drive cars produced in the years 1940-1942 and 1964-1964. The car was originally designed to complement the entry-level Series 61, but in 1959 it was renamed the Cadillac Series 6200 and the name remained until 1965 when the car was renamed the Cadillac Calais.
The Cadillac Series 62 (6th Gen) was produced at from 1959-1960. The 1959 model is iconic for its huge rear fins and twin taillights. It was sold as a 2-door convertible and a 2/4-door car with a hardtop. The car was powered by a front-mounted 6.4-litre V8 engine with 352 hp (242 kW), which was mated to a 4-speed aic transmission.
