The Alfa Romeo GTA is a sports coupe produced in 1965-1971, for racing (Corsa) and road use (Stradale). The Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA was a 2-door coupe produced in the years 1965-1969, introduced as a successor to the popular Giulietta series. The GTA was first produced in 1965 as a 1.6L and later as a 1300 Junior version.
It had aluminum outer body panels instead of steel and plastic side windows. The car had rear-wheel drive and the engine was located in front. It was powered by an I4 engine that was mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The car boasted 115 horsepower (85 kW) in the road version and 170 horsepower (130 kW) in the race version.
