The De Tomaso Pantera was a sports car with a mid-engined engine produced in 1971-1992. More than 7,000 units were produced in total, and was the automaker’s most popular model. They sold more than three-quarters of their production between 1972 and 1975. The car was rear-wheel drive and sold as a 2-door coupe and Targa. The 1971 models were powered by a 5.8-litre V8 engine with 330 hp (246 kW), which was mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in about 5.5 seconds. In 1972, a sportier GTS model was introduced with 345 hp (257 kW).
