The Chevrolet Nova was a small car, produced in five generations between 1965-1979 and 1985-1988 (replaced by the Citation in 1979). By 1968, it was the top model of the Chevy II line.
The Nova Super Sport (SS) was one of the smallest models of the so-called “muscle cars” and at base was available with a 5.7-liter V8 engine with 295 horsepower (220 kW). There was also a choice of a 6.5-litre engine with 350/375 hp (260/280 kW). The car had a 4-speed manual or 3-speed aic transmission. In the year 1968, 5571 units were produced.
