The Pontiac GTO was a 2-door, 4/5-passenger car and was produced in four generations from 1963-1974 in . The first generation GTO is credited with popularising the so-called “muscle car” segment. It was available as a coupe, convertible or with hardtop. On offer was a 6.4-/6.6-liter V8 engine with 325 hp (242 kW)/348 hp (260 kW) and a 3/4-speed manual or 2/3-speed automatic transmission. The 1965 model had roughly 10 more horsepower after air intake modifications, could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 182 km/h.
