This beautiful sporty two-door grant tourer was first unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1967 and its production was discontinued in 1970. Because it was too expensive and a similar price could buy cars from established brands like Porsche or Jaguar, only 337 were made in total. Yet it recently won the title of Japan’s most expensive car ever. The Toyota 2000GT is powered by a 2.0-litre in-line six-cylinder engine with 150 hp (110 kW), has a five-speed manual transmission, rear-wheel drive and was able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 217 km/h (217 mph), while consuming 7.5 litres per 100 km (62.6 mpg).
