The Alpine A 310 is a sports car introduced at the Geneva Motor Show , produced from 1971 to 1984. It was sold as a 2-door coupe with rear-wheel drive and engine located in the rear. It replaced the A 110, which won the 1973 Monte Carlo Rally and the World Rally Championship. Initially, it was powered by a 4-cylinder engine with 125 hp (93 kW).
The Alpine A 310 was fitted with a more powerful 2.6-litre V6 engine in 1976, which was used in some Renaults, Volvos and Peugeots. The engine was rated at 148 hp (110 kW) and was mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The car was able to reach a speed of 220 km/h.
