The Cadillac Series 40-62 is a series of cars produced in the years 1940 – 1964. They were originally designed to complement the entry-level Series 61. They had rear-wheel drive and a engine located in the front. They were replaced by the Cadillac Calais and Cadillac de Ville.
The 5th generation Cadillac Series 62 was produced in from 1957 to 1958. The cars were available as a 2-/4-door hardtop and 2-door convertible. Standard models could be identified by the bright metal bars in front of the rear wheel openings. They were powered by a 6-litre V8 petrol engine with 310 hp (228 kW), which was mated to a 4-speed aic transmission.
