The Lancia Montecarlo (type 137) is a sports car with a engine located in the centre, produced in Italy in 1975-1978 and 1980-1981. It was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. The cars of the first series were known as the Lancia Beta Montecarlo and the cars of the second simply as the Lancia Montecarlo.
Both series were available in coupe and spider versions, the second featured a unique hand-operated Targa-style roof. A total of 7798 units were produced. The cars were powered by a 2-litre (Europe) I4 engine with 118 hp (88 kW), could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 9.3 s and reach a speed of 190 km/h (190 mph).
