The Renault 4CV is a small economy car produced by the French company in between 1947 and 1961. It was sold as a 4-door saloon, convertible and van with monocoque construction, rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. It is the first French car to sell more than a million units. It was replaced by the Dauphine.

It was first introduced to the public at the Paris Motor Show in 1946. The car was initially powered by a 0.76-litre I4 engine, which was mated to a 3-speed manual gearbox. In 1950, the engine was replaced by a 0.75-litre I4 unit with 17 hp (12.5 kW). The engine power was later increased to 21 hp (16 kW), allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 90 km/h (62 mph) in 38 s and reach speeds just under 100 km/h (62 mph). In total, more than 1.1 million examples were produced.
