The Aston Martin V8 is a grand tourer produced in England from 1969 to 1989. It was sold as a 2-door coupe and convertible with rear-wheel drive and the engine located in the front. It was hand-built, like all traditional Aston Martin cars, and required up to 1,200 hours to complete.

Aston Martin wanted to replace the DB6, so designed a larger and more modern V8 model. The car’s engine, however, was not yet ready so it was released with the I6 engine from the DB6, which powered the cars for the next 2 years. The Aston Martin V8 was powered by a 5.3-litre V8 engine that was mated to a 5-speed manual or 3-speed automatic transmission. A total of 4,021 examples were produced.
