The Citroën SM is a high-performance grand tourer produced in between 1970 and 1975. It was sold as a 3-door coupe with front-wheel drive and the engine located in the front centre. In 1971 it placed third in the European Car of the Year competition.

The car is powered by a 2.7-liter V6 engine with 168 horsepower (125 kW) or a 3-liter V6 engine with 178 horsepower (132 kW), which are mated to a 5-speed manual or 3-speed automatic transmission. Top speed of the 3-litre version is 225 km/h (225 mph). A total of 12 920 examples of the SM were produced.
