The Mercedes-Benz W21 is a mid-size luxury car produced in between 1933 and 1936, also known as the Mercedes-Benz 200. It was sold as a 2- or 4-door grand tourer, a sedan, and a 3- or 4-seat convertible with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. Six-seater models were also available in extended versions. A total of 15 622 examples were produced.
The car was powered by a 2-litre I6 engine with 36 hp (29 kW) mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. The top speed of the W21 is just under 100 km/h. In 1966, an optional 2.2-litre engine with 54 hp (40 kW) was introduced in response to criticism of the car’s low performance.
