The Jaguar E-Type is a sports car produced in England from 1961 to 1974. It was based on the D-Type, which had won the 24 Hours of Le Mans for three consecutive years since 1955. Its exceptional aesthetics, advanced technology, high performance and competitive price have made it an icon of the motoring world. It had rear-wheel drive, a front-mid engine, and could reach speeds of 240 km/h (240 mph).
The third series was introduced in 1971 and produced until 1974. Models in this series were powered by a 5.3-litre V12 engine with 272 hp (203 kW). They’re easily recognizable thanks to the large front fascia, wider tires and four exhaust tips. A total of 15 287 examples were produced.
