The Bentley 4 ½ is a sports car produced in England in the years 1927 – 1931. It was sold with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. The body style depended on the agreement with the customer. In 1928 he won the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The car was powered by a 4.4-liter engine with 110 horsepower (82 kW) in the base and 130 horsepower (97 kW) in the sport version, which was mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. Also available was a supercharged version, sold from 1929, with 175 hp (130 kW) in base and 240 hp (180 kW) in racing versions, known as “Blower Bentleys”. Only 720 examples were produced in total, of which 55 were powered by turbocharged engines.
