The Mercedes-Benz W128 is a luxury automobile manufactured in West Germany and Australia between 1958 and 1960. It was sold as the 220 SE as a 4-door sedan, 2-door coupe and convertible. It was very similar to its predecessor the 220 S, with the exception of the injection which is denoted in the car’s name by an “E”. In total, only 3,916 examples were produced.

The car was powered by a 2.2-litre, petrol, inline 6-cylinder (I6) engine with aluminium head. The engine was rated at 115 hp (85 kW) and was mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. Almost the entire interior of the coupe and convertible was covered in wood or leather. The car was not available with power steering and air conditioning.
