 The Fiat X1/9 is an Italian sports car produced between 1972 and 1982 by Fiat and between 1982 and 1989 by Bertone. It was sold as a 2-seater targa with rear-wheel drive and the engine located in the rear centre. A total of 160 000 copies were produced.

The X1/9 had balanced steering, retractable headlights, a removable hardtop, and storage in both the front and rear. Until 1978, the car was powered by a 1.3-litre I4 engine with 74 hp (55 kW), which was mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. The top speed of this version was 170 km/h. From 1978, the car was powered by a 1.5-litre version of the I4 engine with 84 hp (63 kW). The engine was mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The top speed of this version was 185 km/h.
